Hurricane Ida Survivor Rehousing Services, Case Management and Base Camp Operations

As part of the HGA Team working under the direction of GOHSEP, WFG personnel maintain survivor base camp sites that have sheltered over 500 Terrebonne parish residents. Our staff also coordinates feeding services for over 1,000 additional parish residents.

We provide 24-hour 7 day/week staffing at five (5) survivor shelter camps in Terrebonne Parish. Staff provides services to survivor residents to ensure all immediate needs are met including food, shelter, laundry, and other disaster relief services.

Staff provides case management services to residents that includes assistance with applications to FEMA and other types of relief funding. Staff also aids with identifying long term housing and other recovery needs.

Staff coordinates site visits from outside organizations which aid residents including FEMA, HUD, LHC, LDH, DSFS, LA Spirit. Staff also monitors shelter sites for safety and emergency needs of survivor residents.
